Cello Lesson Policies
Only students who sign up for Monthly Tuition have a reserved weekly time and lesson slot. Those who wish to only enroll on an individual lesson basis must schedule each lesson separately, and are not guaranteed the same lesson time each week.
Unexcused absences will only be made up at the discretion of the teacher. The only excused absences are illness, family emergency, or other musical activity (such as a Music Festival or concert), and excused absences will be offered make-up lessons. Vacations, business trips, child care, and other conflicts are unexcused absences. If you must miss a lesson, there might be someone who would be happy to take your slot for that week, so let me know as far in advance as you can.
Makeup lessons will be offered for whenever I am away and must miss a lesson. Multiple make-up times will be offered, including the possibility of a make-up lesson over the internet via Skype, FaceTime, etc.

Also:
- Please do not come to a lesson when you are sick. It is no fun taking a lesson while ill, and I do not want to get sick either. There is no charge for a lesson if you are ill.
- When possible, I appreciate at least 48 hours notice if you must cancel - someone else might be able to take your lesson time, thereby not wasting my time or your money.
- Practicing for a lesson is not an option, it is necessary.
- Payment should be made (cash or check) either at the beginning of the calendar month (monthly tuition), or at each lesson.
- Playing the cello is fun, so enjoy yourself!
